Over the course of centuries, its military purpose faded into oblivion, and it came to be cherished primarily as a picturesque attraction. During the Tang Dynasty, numerous celebrated poems were composed in tribute to the Yellow Crane Tower. It is these very poems that have rendered the tower so illustrious and alluring, drawing visitors from far and wide. The tower boasted distinct architectural characteristics in different dynasties.
