1. Harbin Ice and Snow World 哈尔滨冰雪大世界

Harbin Ice and Snow World only opens in winter, from late December to February. Huge ice castles and ice slides are carved from ice blocks. Colorful lights decorate the ice buildings at night, creating a fantastic frozen fairyland. It is the core attraction of Harbin Ice Festival. book tickets in advance and visit after dark for the best views.

2. Changbai Mountain 长白山

Changbai Mountain is a famous volcanic mountain on the China‑DPRK border. Tianchi, the crater lake on the summit, is the most iconic spot. The view of Tianchi depends on weather. The north slope has convenient transport, waterfalls and hot springs. In winter, you can enjoy snow scenery; in summer, alpine meadows are full of wild flowers.

长白山是中朝边境知名火山，山顶火山口湖天池是标志性景观，天池能否看见要看天气情况。北坡交通便利，分布瀑布与温泉。冬季赏雪景，夏季高山草甸野花遍地。

3. China Snow Town 雪乡

China Snow Town is located in Mudanjiang. Heavy snow covers wooden houses every winter, forming thick snow “mushrooms” on rooftops. The red lanterns against white snow create a classic winter picture. The best visiting time is December to February. Dress warmly and book accommodation early in peak season.

雪乡位于牡丹江，冬季大雪覆盖木屋，屋顶形成厚厚的雪蘑菇，白雪映衬红灯笼，是经典冬日画面。最佳游玩时间12月至次年2月，务必做好保暖，旺季提前预定住宿。

4. Yabuli Ski Resort 亚布力滑雪场

Yabuli is China’s famous ski resort. It has many ski trails for beginners and advanced skiers. You can take ski lessons, experience snow tubing and enjoy winter sports. It is close to Harbin and very popular for winter snow trips.

亚布力是国内知名滑雪场，拥有多条雪道，适合新手与高阶滑雪爱好者。可以学习滑雪、体验雪圈等雪地项目，距离哈尔滨不远，是冬季冰雪旅行热门目的地。

5. Shenyang Imperial Palace 沈阳故宫

Shenyang Imperial Palace is the imperial palace of the early Qing Dynasty, smaller than the Forbidden City in Beijing. It combines Manchu, Han and Mongolian architectural styles. together with Marshal Zhang’s Mansion, it is a must‑visit historical site in Liaoning.

沈阳故宫是清初皇宫，规模小于北京故宫，融合满、汉、蒙建筑风格。搭配张氏帅府一同游览，是辽宁必打卡历史景点。

Local Food 当地美食

Try local specialties: iron pot stew, guobaorou (sweet and sour fried pork), Harbin red sausage, frozen pears, sauerkraut stewed pork, grilled skewers and rice cakes.

Travel Tips 出行小贴士

First, winter in Northeast China is extremely cold. Wear thick down coats, thermal underwear, waterproof snow boots, gloves, hats and face masks. Second, keep your phone and camera warm to avoid low‑power shutdown. Third, the distance between scenic spots is long, plan enough travel time. Fourth, drink more water; indoor heating is dry in winter. Fifth, walk carefully on icy roads to prevent slips.
